Slamm Cup Quest privacy
Slamm Cup Quest is a native iPhone and iPad app operated by Slamm Nation LLC at slammnation.us. Updated September 14, 2026.
Your Slamm Nation account
Your cups, wishlist, collection progress and sharing permissions are stored with your Slamm Nation account in our existing collection database. The app uses a secure session stored in your device Keychain. Sessions expire after 30 days and are revoked when you sign out successfully or change your account password. You can choose a display name in the app; your sign-in username and email are not used as the app display name.
Google and Apple sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies an account identifier, verified email address, name and optional profile-picture URL. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple supplies an account identifier and verified email address, which may be an Apple private relay address. We use these details to identify or create your account. Existing collections can be explicitly connected to Apple while signed in. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. Google sign-in does not request Gmail, Drive or Calendar access. Browser sign-in uses cookies and temporary security values. The providers process authentication under their own privacy policies: Google and Apple.
Shared collections and private chat
A collection owner chooses who can view or edit their collection. Editors can change cup ownership and wishlist entries. Everyone with access can read and send messages in that collection’s chat, including earlier messages. Chat messages, the author account identifier and message time are stored on Slamm Nation servers. The author and collection owner can delete messages. Removing collection access also removes access to its chat. Site administrators can access account, collection and chat records to operate the service and provide support. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat.
Location and store reports
Your device location is used on the device to find nearby Starbucks stores and monitor recent store reports. Apple Maps processes store searches. Slamm Nation does not receive your background location history. If you submit a sighting, the selected store’s name, address, coordinates, cup and report time are sent to Slamm Nation and published as a community store report. Reports are observations and do not guarantee stock.
Notifications
Optional Pro alerts use up to 20 nearby reports from the past seven days for missing Discovery Series mugs or ornaments. You choose mugs, ornaments or both, and can disable alerts in the app or iOS Settings. Other series do not trigger alerts. Background alerts require notification and Always location permissions; iOS controls delivery timing.
Purchases
Apple processes the one-time Pro purchase. The app verifies Apple’s transaction and associates access with a random identifier for your Slamm Nation account. We do not receive payment-card details. An account may also receive complimentary Pro access from Slamm Nation LLC. Purchases can be restored with the purchasing Apple Account and Slamm Nation account.
Access, retention and deletion
Account, collection and chat records are retained while your account and collection are maintained, unless messages are deleted. To request a copy, correction or deletion of your account and associated data, contact [email protected]. Revoking Google or Apple access does not by itself delete your Slamm Nation account. Deleted data may remain in backups until those backups are replaced. We do not sell account or sign-in information or use it for advertising.
Account creation and collector rewards
When you create an account in the app, we store your email address and chosen display name and send a secure password-setup link to your email. We temporarily use hashed email and network-address identifiers to limit abusive registration requests. Collector rewards store the first time each unique cup is collected, including whether it is an ornament, with your account. These records provide XP, levels and milestone medals across devices. Removing a cup does not remove its previously earned reward. Shared collection activity rewards the collection owner. Rewards have no cash value. Account and reward data are included in the access and deletion process described above.
Photo scanning
Photo scanning reads visible cup names and labels on your device to suggest matching catalog entries. Photos selected for scanning are not uploaded to Slamm Nation. You confirm the matching cup and edition before adding it to the selected collection.
Optional community, friends and leaderboard
Community participation starts off. If you join, your chosen display name and profile medal become discoverable to community members. Your friend list is private to you. Friend requests must be accepted before friends-only posts and direct friend messages are available. You choose public community or accepted friends as the audience for each post; the app does not automatically publish collections or achievements. Posts attach catalog cup images rather than uploading personal photos. Direct messages are stored on Slamm Nation servers and visible to their participants; administrators can review reported messages. Leaderboard participation is a separate opt-in that displays your name, XP and rank based on self-reported collecting activity. Turning off community participation hides posts and rankings; old posts are not republished when rejoining.
Optional trades and sales
Marketplace participation requires a separate opt-in and acknowledgement of the following notice: Trades and sales are arranged directly between members. Slamm Nation LLC does not process payments, handle shipping, or resolve disputes involving money or items, and is not responsible for those disputes. Listings include a catalog cup, description and optional USD asking price. Buyers may privately contact the listing owner, who can reply. Payment and shipping are arranged between members. Turning off marketplace participation closes listings and disables listing conversations until participation is enabled again.
Blocking and moderation
Blocking a member hides their community content and stops direct social messages and friend requests in both directions. Reports are stored with the reporting account and reported content for administrator review. The author can remove their posts or listings. Slamm Nation can remove reported content. Keep content respectful and cup-related; scams, harassment and illegal items are prohibited. These social records are covered by the account access and deletion process above.
